Banking Product (Botox)

In version 7.0.201 of the patientNOW cloud, the concept of banking product is introduced. The most popular use for this is to bank Botox (e.g. buy 100 units today and use in the next 3 visits).

This topic has the following information:

Create Prepaid Package Invoice

Receive for First Visit

Receive for Follow-up Visit

Receive for Final Visit, which includes the workflow when final visit is for more units than the original invoice has remaining

Create Prepaid Package Invoice

You will create the Prepaid Packages invoice as you always have (e.g. 100 units of Botox at 20% discount).

Receiving for Initial Visit

When you Receive Item, it will ask you how many units and which provider will be used for that service, then patientNOW automatically creates a new line with the correct date, units, and provider.

Receiving for Follow-up Visit

When the patient comes in for their next visit, in this case October 26, 2020, select Receive Item again and enter the units used.

Receiving for Final Visit

When the patient comes in for the final visit, they may use exactly the remaining amount (in this case 44 units), or they may use more. If the patient were to use 50 units, you will Receive Item and enter 50 units.

patientNOW will ask if you are sure the quantity is correct.

Then, the Add Invoice dialog appears. This invoice will be for the 6 units over the remaining 44 from the prepaid package.

The new invoice will look like this. You may now apply payment normally.

The original invoice will look like this.
